Paula Creamer gave us and herself quite a scare in the early rounds of the ADT Championship. This is the season ending event for the LPGA and it has enough drama on its own with its 3-tournaments-in-one format. It didn’t need the early exit of Annika nor the possible appendicitis for Paula to keep us glued to the television.

Stomach pains are not enough to keep Paula from shooting for the $1,000,000 prize and becoming the overall leader on the LPGA money list for the 2008 season. She has the capability to stay on focus and fight through the adversity as evidenced by her making the final round of the ADT in spite of a tremendous amount of physical discomfort..

In my opinion Paula Creamer is the embodiment of determination and professionalism on the LPGA Tour. She is only 22 years old and is considered a veteran on tour. Her sparkle, talent and overall demeanor on and off the course belies her age. What’s also great about Paula is her understanding of and respect for the game of golf and her responsibilities as a role model. She knows her place and she is one of golf’s greatest ambassadors already. She truly understands what it means to ‘give back’ to the game and the community.

Unfortunately, I can’t predict the outcome of today’s final round. I can only hope that Paula comes out on top. She has her sights set on becoming number one in the world and she has the talent to accomplish that. As for me, she is already number one in my book.

PS   Anyone brave enough to play a pink ball on the golf course has to be pretty confident. Go Paula!! Go Paula!!

Do you think Paula will make it to the Number One spot on Women’s Golf?? Leave your comments below.
