Picture this….you are standing over your putt in a ‘must make’ situation. You feel you have the right line picked out, you are trying to focus on speed to hold that line but your alignment has always been a question mark in the past.
As you step up to address the ball, you look down on a mallet style putter that is predominantly black with unmistakable bright pink ‘V’ lines etched deeply on the top of it. A sweet calm washes over you as you begin your pendulum backswing. Your hands rest lightly on the soft black and pink Winn grip with the Pink Ribbon emblazoned beautifully on it. All thoughts are positive and focused on the ball dropping into the hole to cinch your match.
What happened to the alignment woes of yore?
The Sweet Spot Think Pink Putter has come to your rescue!! Those pink lines are the best thing that happened to your golf game since the pencil eraser! It is now almost ‘easy’ to start your putt in the right direction. The visual aid that those ‘sight’ lines offer should be considered ‘illegal” but thankfully are not.
For me, I was concerned when the Sweet Spot Think Pink Putter arrived on my door step. I am not a mallet-style putter so I was not sure how I would take to this one. I decide to put my bias aside and give it a try. Initially, I was confined to indoor putting as the weather in Ohio was less than conducive for heading outside to the course. That gave me a great opportunity to really focus on the look and feel of the putter before eventually taking it to the course.
The weight of the putter is much heavier than my current Odyssey putter, the shaft is one-inch shorter (per my request) and the graphics are certainly eye-catching. After rolling a few I found everything starting to feel VERY comfortable. I was able to use those bright pink ‘V’ lines to keep my putter moving forward as needed to get the ball on line. This putter is well-balanced and beautifully crafted. There are other non-pink putters in the Sweet Spot line but the fact that this particular one helps raise money for the National Breast Cancer Foundation just makes it that much better. Kudos to Sweet Spot Golf for their entire line of Think Pink Driver, Hybrid and Putter.
This review was not meant to be technical in nature as the average golfer doesn’t care about how it is made, how many grams it weighs or its MOI, if they even know what all of that means. The average golfer, male or female, cares about how the club feels and plays…..and costs. The Sweet Spot Putter sells for $149 which is a bit above average in the price department but I encourage you to take one for a ‘spin’ and remember you’re helping the fight against breast cancer with your purchase. Not bad on top of getting a really good putter!

I like it, and it’s not a bad price either, especially considering the cause that it is helping. Now, can I justify the expense of “another” club?
