In a recent article, I reviewed the Sweet Spot Think Pink Golf Putter. As much as I liked the putter, I wasn’t so sure the company, Sweet Spot Golf, LLC, could do as well with their hybrid golf clubs. I was testing the Sweet Spot Think Pink Hybrid 4 at 22 degrees of loft. I currently have a men’s graphite shaft Magique Hybrid 3 at 21 degrees of loft in my bag so I have used a hybrid for a couple of years and felt I had a good comparative reference point.
Let me start by saying I was testing a woman’s club with a flexible shaft and smaller grip than what I currently play. I play men’s clubs for my height, regular shafts (for my swing speed) not as flexible as the typical shafts in ladies’ clubs and I have oversized grips due to some arthritis in my hands. Given the differences I wasn’t expecting to be ‘wowed’.
Boy, was I wrong! This Think Pink hybrid averaged about 20 more yards in distance than the lower lofted hybrid I currently use. It was solid even on off-center hits (which is the way I hit most of my shots
) due to the weighting system that minimizes twisting. Despite the flexible shaft which had me hitting more to the right than normal my shots were still landing in playable areas. It was easy to get the ball in the air off of lies in the rough (anybody can play from the fairway…where’s the challenge in that, right???)
The aesthetics are notable as well. All clubs in the Think Pink line by Sweet Spot Golf, LLC have beautiful graphics and top of the line Pink and Black Winn grips emblazened with the pink breast cancer ribbon.
Every purchase provides a donation to the National Breast Cancer Foundation which is a nice touch that goes above and beyond just purchasing a golf club. Pricing is not on the low side at $179.00 but it certainly not over-priced. The quality justifies the price.
The bottom line is that I highly recommend this club for its playing attributes, its look and feel and its ‘give back’ to a great cause. Personally, I will change out the shaft and enlarge the grip to fit my game or the other option is to simply order one of the men’s hybrids that come in many other colors (sorry, not pink!) and really go wild with a club that out performs what I already have in my bag!

Hi Sherry. I totally agree with you. I tried the 4 hybrid and hit it longer than my 3 hybrid from Callaway. It’s one of my “go to” clubs now.

Thanks for your comment Gayle! Now if they would just come out with a push-button model
Those look crazy! I guess I should try it out, with everyone saying how great it is. I am using a set of Cobra hybrids right now, and I am inconsistent to say the least. Thanks for posting!
They are a bit ‘eye-catching’ aren’t they? But the extra distance is remarkable. I can’t blame the club for my mishits though
Sherry,
Do you find any problems with hitting it 20 yards farther? Sometimes that will throw off the gaps between yardages for my clubs. Did you have to buy another hybrid to fill in that gap?
Thanks,
Ryan
